ALL THE CLOTHES COME FROM THE FALL/WINTER 2013/14 COLLECTION OF FENDI.
THE CINEMA MANZONI HOSTS THE EXHIBITION "MAKING DREAMS - FENDI AND THE CINEMA," THROUGH WHICH THE ROMAN MAISON CELEBRATES ITS LONG LIVED DIALOGUE WITH CINEMA. FENDI'S ENDURING RELATIONSHIP WITH CINECITTÁ, THE MYTHICAL CINEMA FACTORY OF ROME, AND WITH INTERNATIONAL DIRECTORS SUCH AS LUCHINO VISCONTI, WES ANDERSON, MARTIN SCORSESE AND GIUSEPPE TORNATORE, IS EXPLORED THROUGH THE KEY STAGES AND CHARACTERS OF A UNIQUE REPORT.
The obscurity of the outfits is paired with night-shades. On the left, a viscose top is embellished with mink borders that run from the shoulder to the sleeves. On the right, a stretch turtleneck is paired with a leather pencil skirt slashed with a deep slit, and cinched by a metallic-based hoop belt with striped mink front. Both outfits are completed with bi-toned sunglasses featuring colorful fur temples, one of which is adorned with Swarovski crystals.
CINEMA MANZONI, DESIGNED IN 1947 BY MARIO CAVALLÈ, HAS BEEN REOPENED TO HOST THE EXHIBITION. ITS ARCHITECTURAL, SINUOUS LINES AND STYLIZED FURNITURE ARE ACCOMPANIED BY FRESCOES OF GHINO BARAGATTI AND VANNI ROSSI, AND THE SCULPTURES OF FRANCESCO MESSINA, PERICLE FAZZINI, FERRUCCIO GASPERETTI AND LEONE LODI.
A multi-dimensional leather fringe decorates these two coats. On the left, the black mink coat is cinched by a ridged fur belt adorned by a fox and mink charm. On the right, the cobalt coat, which showcases leather construction, is worn over a fringed top and a black skirt. The pointy-toed pumps feature a striped mink detail on the front.
The psychedelic striped effect characterizing this selection of mink furs is enhanced by the inlaying. The coat on the left is worn over a black leather skirt with a deep side slit. On the right, the pencil skirt is complimented by a black cady blouse with white fur details on the sleeves. The black fur booties reveal bi-toned sculpted heels.
On the left, a black viscose turtleneck tops an asymmetric skirt entirely covered by multi-layered fringe that creates a camouflage motif. On the right, a viscose long-sleeved bodysuit is styled with anthracite wool pants. The two "2jours" bags are compose of, respectively, sheepskin adorned by geometric motifs, and pony-skin with psychedelic zebra prints, accented by a fucsia mink stripe. The patent pumps are adorned by a mink detail on the front.
On the left, the black cady gown is accented by geometric motifs and black and pink mink linings. A stylized owl appears on the multicolor "Baguette" bag through a patchwork of lambskin, mink and fox fur. On the right, the shearling jacket and matching lambskin "Be Baguette" bag are both featured in a fuchsia tone, stlyed with anthracite cady trousers. Both outfits are finished by parent and mink fur pumps.
The dark blue stretch turtleneck on the left is flanked by a pale pink cady bluse on the right. The rigid fur bracelets in shades of blue and pink match the outfits, while the bi-toned sunglasses are complimented by their colorful mink temples and Swarovski appliques.
On the left, the fox fur patchwork bomber jacket is feautured in pale candy-hued shades and is hemmed by a dark striped mink band. The black leather and wool skirt worn underneath showcases a deep side slit. On the right, a multi-layered fringe falls down the sides of this cyclamen leather dress, styled with a matching fuchsia "Be Baguette" bag with front pocket and chain handle. The leather booties edged by contrasting mink fur complete both looks.
Dimensional fringe creates the illusion of movement on the cyclamen leather coat and asymmetric skirt. The patent leather pointy-toed pumps are embellished by a frontal mink mask and sculpted mirror heels. digital tech Giuseppe Fogarizzu, lighting assistant Federico Freda, stylist assistants Francesca Loddo and Davide Scabroso.
