WHEN THE MOST DESIRED MODELS WERE ONLY KNOWN BY THEIR FIRST NAMES, AND FASHION BLOGGERS WERE STILL IN THEIR EMBRYONIC STAGE, THERE WAS A GIRL WHOSE PICTURE HANGED ON THE BEDROOM WALL, LIKE A PROPHECY. SEASONS PASSED, TECHNOLOGY ADVANCED, DECOMPOSING IMAGES TO BYTES AND FASHION TO NUDITY. MARINA WENT BACK TO MADRID, AND VALENTINA MOVED TO NEW YORK. MANY EDITORIALS FOLLOWED, BUT MARINA WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND—UNTIL CERTAIN STARS ALIGNED AND THE DOOR BELL RANG.

A laser-cut neoprene gown with sheer inserts and metallic embroideries by TADASHI SHOJI finds a sunny spot to rest styled with the poppy printed cotton sweatshirt by VERA WANG COLLECTION. The gold-plated arrow-shaped choker by PASCALE MONVOISIN underlines the crew neck. The enamelled eye-shaped brass earrings by DREAM COLLECTIVE and the leather headband by HEATHER HUEY complete the noble look.

A black tulle sky shines with planets and constellations of stars in gold and silver embroideries, in the “Cosmo” dress of the VALENTINO pre-fall collection. The cosmic traveler is further illuminated by a golden chain necklace by LAUREN KLASSEN and gold-plated rings by WOUTERS & HENDRIX. The “Evil Eye” enamelled brass earrings by DREAM COLLECTIVE and the black frames by LAUREN KLASSEN finish the out of space look.

A luxuriant blossoming interrupts the autumn of ANTONIO MARRAS, in a triumph of brocade, lace and tulle composing this gown. Marina’s wrists are enchained by a set of brass bangles by DREAM COLLECTIVE and a gold-plated cuff with a lonely pearl on top by WOUTERS & HENDRIX. The leather boots worn in bed are by MARSÈLL.

A leather sleeveless perfecto with laser-cut details dissimulate the nude aim of a falling tulle skirt, both by TADASHI SHOJI, showing a perfect balance between different weights of black. A silk chiffon scarf by CHRISU is wrapped as headband. Wrists and fingers sound of metal, with the set of brass and agate bangles by IOSSELLIANI, the bracelet with textured chains and matching chained ring on the middle finger by WOUTERS & HENDRIX, and the two silver rings by LAUREN KLASSEN. The concrete boots are by MARSÈLL.

A cold-toned keffiyeh with floral foulard insert by 5MIN contrasts with the passionate red mikado dress by MICHAEL KORS. Marina’s hands are enveloped in gold-plated rings by WOUTERS & HENDRIX, holding a precious patchwork clutch with a faceted abstract flower by EMM KUO.
