The era of the wheels of steel, as turntables were once called, ended with the last SL1200 — but electronic music transcended the locked groove and evolved (while retaining its experimental soul), free from the restrains of genre and stylus weight. Shot in a steel mill, abandoned to rust, the New York-based duo Sofi Tukker soldier on — equipped for the Fall with total looks by Damir Doma, and the unique sound of their heartbeat — perpetuating those vibrations and melodies that elevate our feet high above the ground.
