In occasion of Milan’s Salone del Mobile 2014, Hermès embarks on the world of lighting design by presenting a collection of lamps, light fixtures and a lantern in the setting of the historical Palazzo Serbelloni.
The “Pantographe” and “Harnais” collections, designed by Michele de Lucchi, andLanterne d’ Hermès, designed by Yann Kersalé, flaunt a care in the details typical of the brand’s savoir-faire, as well as equestrian and nautical imagery.
The exhibition also features additions to the line “Curiosités d’ Hermès” by designer Philippe Nigro, consisting of three cabinets dedicated to the care of wine, shoes, and tea. In revisiting historical designs, the French maison released a new iteration of a collaboration with designer Jean-Michel Frank dating back to the 1920s.
The rooms of Palazzo Serbelloni, decorated with Hermès fabrics and wallpapers, featured new designs in the collection: a refined mélange of traditional and modern graphic patterns drawing inspiration from the Ancient Tea Route.
